Congratulations Dmitriy!

The Backgammon Masters Awarding Body (BMAB) has new leadership.

On April 19, 2018, voting closed for election of BMAB’s CEO and Dmitriy Obukhov earned 50 of the 58 valid ballots cast.

Dimitriy is a selfless supporter of backgammon. He’s also pretty darn good: Dmitriy is a member of Mochy’s Under 4.0 Club and is himself a BMAB Grandmaster.

In his acceptance statement, Dmitriy praised the work and service of founder Rick Janowski and announced plans to make all matches available at bgmastersab.com.

Beyond backgammon, Dmitriy and I share another special bond: Dmitriy and my first cousin Kirovs Lippmanns were both born in Riga, Latvia.

Please join me in congratulating Dmitriy on his election in the comments below.
